Acs Song

Lagu Sekolah (BM)
Tidak lama dahulu,Lebih 100 tahun lalu,Tiba Horley Perkasa.
Pengasas sekolah kita,A.C.S. yang tercinta,Sungguh barunya nama.
Panji-panji terkembang,Sedunia tercanang.
A.C.S, A.C.S.,Negara harap padamu,Bertahun di bangkumuBuat berani tidak gusar,
A.C.S., A.C.S.,Jadi berani tapa ragu,Saya bangga jadi muridA.C.S.
Lagu Sekolah (ENG)
Not so very long ago,More than hundred years or so,Horley dauntless hero came.Founded our beloved school,Ipoh Anglo-Chinese School,Though it then was new in name. But the banner then unfurled,Now its known throughout the world.A.C.S, A.C.S.,Your country can depend on you,Years we spend in your classrooms,Will help to make us brave and true,A.C.S.,A.C.S.,To do the right we're not afraid,And we're proud we’re students of the A.C.S.

History of the School Song
The School Song as sung now was composed by Vincent Daniel in 1947 whilst a Form Five student for the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the School. The lyrics were set to a catchy tune and became an instant hit with all concerned. This song replaced a provious number which was more in the nature of a ‘yell’ commonly used in the old days. It goes like this:
Hula hula hoo
I go to Anglo-Chinese School
I go to Anglo-Chinese School
Hula hula hooOnly a few ‘old salts’ who know this song are still living. Mr V.K.V. Daniel, an accomplished organist, vocalist and actor, later became a teacher in the School and was then promoted to become the Principal of the Methodist School, Banting
